Border Collie Dogs
Border collie dogs are a working dog breed, one of the few dogs that have retained their qualities over time.
Though there is no uniform breed standard, to which all representatives of the breed should conform, there are some basic characteristics that most dogs fit into. Dogs measure at 19-22 inches, and bitches stand at 18-21 inches at the withers. Generally speaking, they look like Australian Shepherds, only lightly built and without a bob-tail.

These intelligent canines derived their name from the boundary between Scotland and England where they were used as herders. Nowadays, they are still used as herders on farms.
